Spend mother’s day morning learning the art of coiling with pine needles

Everyone is welcome!

Join us for a morning of fun, creativity, and ease in this half day workshop on making coiled pine needle jewelry! Families, pairs, individuals, women, men, and kids are all welcome. In this class the traditional basketry technique of coiling with pine needles will be adapted to create one-of-a-kind pendants. Participants will have the opportunity to make several pendants and then create earrings, necklaces, bracelets, or any other jewelry item of their choice. They make perfect gifts for loved ones or as a special treat for yourself : ). Kids 9 and up are welcome, and must have an adult accompanying them. This project involves sewing on a small scale and requires some finger strength and dexterity.

COST 

$50.00  (includes pine needles and a selection of jewelry findings for making earrings, necklaces, or both!)

SUPPLIES TO BRING 

  • A pair of scissors
  • Any special beads, twine, hemp, or other supplies you might want to incorporate into the jewelry (I will provide everything you need- this is just if you have something special you want to add in)
  • Snacks or lunch if you would like.

Please note that there is a cat the workshop location. If you are allergic please let me know and we can discuss. Also, the bathroom is located up a flight of wooden stairs around the back of the building. If this presents any problem for you please reach out. Katiegroveart@gmail.com
