2024 The Basketmaker’s Month Webinar: May/June

Some of the most common questions I get asked as a basketry teacher revolve around which basketry plants are season during different times of year. What are the best ways to identify these plants? How are they harvested, processed, and stored? This webinar series answers these questions and more. This May/June the focus is on BARK. I’ll be covering all you need to now to get started peeling bark in your own backyards.

MORE NEWS

2024 is going to be a big year for me. I’ll be focusing on a big writing project (more TBA soon!) and developing future classes. To facilitate this I have made the difficult decision to reduce my teaching load. This is a big leap for me and comes with both fear and excitement! Since I can’t imagine my life without at least some teaching I will still be offering some one and two day classes, which I’ll announce on a rolling basis.

I’ve received so much support for this decision from past and current students and my heart is so full with gratitude. I’ll still be active on social media and sharing my progress with all my projects so please check in with me on instagram @Katiegrovebasketry.

Please know that you can still reach out to me about classes and I can put you on lists for next year or refer you to other teachers.

In gratitude, Katie
